Rush Hair Salon Review

July 31, 2017

I was in need of a spot of relaxation and pampering, when an invite to pop along to the the brand new chic and modern hair salon, Rush Shepherds Bush arrived. I had a good chat with my lovely stylist Shianne, who wanted to know all about how I like to wear my hair and my styling routine; it was all about me.  Rush understands the importance of trust between client and stylist, I like that.  I don’t know about you, but I’ve had some awful hairdressing  experiences in my time, so for me, there’s always an element of risk when visiting a new salon, hoping that the stylist will understand my vision and do what I want with my hair.  I was in good hands, Shianne really got my vision, we chatted easily about my plans to keep it long, but more importantly ensure it’s healthy and in top condition for my upcoming wedding  (which is only 9 months away. I will share more deets soon!)

At Rush, the clients needs come first, Shianne really listened and understood exactly what I asked for, offering some helpful hair care advice too.  I liked her suggestions about adding some shape to  the sides and front to suit my face shape.

It was time to hit the basin, this is my favourite part of the whole  salon experience and wow, that head massage was blissful. I opted to pay  little extra for a deep conditioning treatment as my hair desperately needed it, my hair looks glossy and it feels light and soft.

With my hair washed and prepped, it was time to get cutting.  I hadn’t appreciated how long my hair has grown until I looked at these snaps.  Shianne had to repeatedly lower the chair in order to snip the ends of my locks.  I decided against anything too drastic, we agreed on a good tidy up, with blunt ends at the back, leading to a slightly rounded effect and feathering at the front for that softer look.

Having been trimmed to perfection, next up was a fancy blow-dry. Oh how I love a blow-dry, having such thick long hair, it’s a treat to have someone else blow dry my mane.  As you can see, Shianne did a wonderful job and the range of products Rush use are high quality, leaving my hair feeling  like pure silk; it looks stunning and is 100 times better for the Rush attention.

I’m really pleased with my shiny, gorgeous new hair style, I keep swishing, which is always a good sign.  I must say a huge thank you for welcoming me like an old friend and for my delightful hair cut. I highly recommend visiting Rush Shepherds Bush, do ask for Shianne if you pop along to get your barnet preened and pampered.
