Well Boohoo got in touch….. asking me all about my festival style. Now our recent stay at Ardlamont House in the Scottish Highlands is far from the usual festival backdrop; but as you can see, this house was way too beautiful not to capture for this shoot, so it’s a practise run for the coming summer festivals. I was itching to wear my new dress and I think Ardlamont House provided the perfect backdrop for staging the outfit, creating some beautifully eery images- think Wednesday Addams and Woman in Black…spooky.
I am heading to the British Summer Time event in Hyde Park this Friday and plan to rock this look there too. On a side note, thank you to everyone who entered the ticket giveaway and I am sorry it couldn’t be extended to those living overseas or outside the surrounding London areas. The winners have been contacted by email and I will try and do a global giveaway ya’ll can enter soon!
As this look started with Boohoo asking me about my festival style, which for many will include fringing, bold clashing prints and wellies. This is also true for me but I like to think a fedora hat and ankle boots are essential musts and more true to my singinture style. I also want something that others might not pick, and this lace midi dress is just perfect. I might add a printed jacket or a printed clutch bag to mix up the look a little when I head to the BST festival on Friday.
Whilst exploring all the different nooks and crannies of the house, taking these snaps, I was joined by Clare, also mooching about. She joined me for a couple of snaps. I like how they turned out, working well as she also was dressed in a long black dress, I like the contrast of my dark hair and her light hair together in these shots.
What would be your perfect festival look? For inspiration check our Boohoo and get your summer festival vibe rocking. Peace and love.
