Hanbury Botanic Gardens…

While in the South of France we nipped over the boarder to Italy and visited Hanbury Botanical Gardens. It was a lovely sunny day spent wandering around beautiful gardens. The gardens were built on the side of a huge hill ending at the sea. It had a stunning central stairway leading down the middle of the gardens, but also had lots of  little meandering path ways leading to hidden pretty flowers and statues to photograph, you couldn’t tell how steep the hill was due to all the winding pathways. Once we reached the bottom we stopped for a picnic, where we could hear the sound of the sea crashing into the rocks below. It was idyllic and one of my favorite days spent on the holiday!

I quickly shouted him to sit down and let me take a picture. I really liked the framing of the image. I also got a photograph of my Father and Dave together and one of my sister, looking rather glamours in her black maxi dress. We have totally different styles but I think thats cool, as we don’t all want to dress in floral dresses and hair bands.

What lovely pics – and I didn’t know little turtles would quite happily live in a pond!
