Now autumn is truly here I can start wearing some of my more fall / winter clothing, instead of floral summer dresses. I love this little jacket, its super old (from when I was about 16 – 17, I’m now 23!). Despite the holes in the pockets and the fact its not very warm, I still love it as much as the day I brought it. Every thing about it appealed to me, the velvet collar, the woollen fabric its made from, the colours are my perfect winter colour pallet, the checked print and then the shape and fit. Its a great little fall jacket. I’m trying to get my seasonal use out of it before the weather turns cold – there’s been forecasted snow next week, I really can’t believe that! To me this jacket and dress seem to be the perfect combo, I wore it back in the very early days of the blog, click here to see. It’s crazy to see how much the blog has changed since that post but back to this outfit… I felt a bit like an Edwardian school girl in this outfit, I think its the white lace collar mixed with the jacket and then the satchel.
These little Victoriana style boots are fast becoming my favourite boots or in fact shoes to wear at the moment, there so comfy and good on rainy days. I seam to be wearing them nearly every day. I think they’ll defiantly be my winter wardrobe staple, I also have my eye on a new parka style coat from Topshop.. It’ll look ace with these boots! I fancy a more grungy, boyish winter coat this year. I have plenty of girly and vintage coats but no fun boy-ish ones. I find when I come to the end of something (in this case my Masters degree) I always want to inject a bit of new style to my wardrobe. I want less floral girly and bit more boy-ish edge.. Is it just me or do you ever get these moments where you want to tweak your style? I don’t want to completely change it but some days I don’t want to be girly so I think the parka coat will suit those moods more than my pretty coats. Plus the parka will come in handy with its warm hood when its raining and I’m walking Coco my dog.
