Dear Creatures –
Fall 2010 carries on Dear Creatures‘ panache for all things nostalgic and narrative. A collection inspired by Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, the clothing reflects curious girls’and guys’ instinct for smart and timeless fashion, the same instincts they assign to their crime solving adventures. Elelments of plaid, straight and A-line silhouettes, and clean, precise tailoring are pragmatic but not lacking in the brand’s signature whimsy. A line of utilty bags, savvy enough for the most dexterous missions, also makes its debut alongside the consistently charming womens’s pieces and ever-growing collection of menswear. Dear Creatures Fall 2010 sparks a fascination with mystery, intrigue, and visual optimism at it’s finest.
I love this collection from Dear Creatures, I love the concept behind the looks and all of the styling elements. It’s so simple but so effective, there are so many styling ideas bouncing around my head from looking at this. I love the grey duffle style coat, the furry hats, plaid dresses & shirts ( which I’ve been on the hunt for ever since I saw this image of The Clothes Horse in a plaid dress). I mean this is the perfect mixture of girly and yet has tomboy elements, which is what my so far imaginary fall wardrobe is looking like.
