Mustard & Polka Dots…

June 30, 2010

Lately I’m finding my self drawn to polka dots. I like them usually but would normally choose a floral number over a spotty dress or skirt…But in the last couple of weeks I’ve brought a number of polka dot items of clothing including a spotty skirt, shots and this dress. I really want a spotty blouse or t-shirt, not sure what I’d wear it with but I really want one. This mustard cardigan is also new, I’m a huge fan of this colour but find it hard to finding clothing is this shade. I think it kind of clashes with my red hair but I quite like that. I always wear my mustard colour flower ring so now I have a clothing piece to match it. I have a couple of mustard accessories, belts, bracelets and an old wooly chunky cardigan (that has seen better days). I love staple bold or block colour cardigans, I feel plain black is just boring. H&M do a really good range of bright coloured cardigans. My burgundy cardigan is from there to, I’ve had that for years.

This outfit was a lot of fun to wear, the polka dot dress and spotty socks are cute, I love the simple brown belt and shoes with the bold dash of bright mustard cardigan and I love that my ring matches. The hat pulls the whole look together, I’m really digging the simple colour pallet of black, white and mustard with an accent of brown. I love my new dress and will be defiantly adding more polka dots to my wardrobe!
