Today is the first outing of my new dress. I’m so glad I parted with my pennies as I truly love this dress, the shape of the neck line is great and there are hidden and understated but sexy details to this dress.
What I’m Wearing –
Cardigan & Belt – H&M
Dress & Necklace – Urban Outfitters
Brogues – Topshop
Flower Ring – Freedom Jewelry
I went for a more casual take on the dress today by teaming it with my brown belt and brogues. It would be very easy to make this a more dressy dress. By using black or navy accessories and little shoe boots in stead of boy brogues. I really like the fact this can be a casual or dressy dress, make it better value for money in my opinion.
Heres a close up of my new necklace, I’ve been searching for a locket / pendant style necklace in a rustic gold shade for some time. Checking out all vintage and charity store but no luck until now. When I saw this in Urban Outfitters I did think it was a little pricey but knew I had to have it and it was just what I’d been looking for, so worth the heavy price tag!
Another detail I like is that the back has a sexy hidden treat, with a lace up section showing a little bit of flesh isn’t always a bad thing.
I was drawn to this dress yet the colour pallet is little different to the dresses I normally go for, the green and white’y grey colours aren’t usually me. Some how the soft lilac and pink softens the print.
I also like the fact yes its floral and yes I do love / am slightly obsessed with floral dresses but the floral print is more tropical harsh flowers and the ones on most my dresses, plus mixed with the colours and back detail makes it a rather new and exciting floral dress for me.
