Casual Tartan

I’ve had this dress for a couple of years and it’s perfect for Autumnal dressing, it’s easy to throw on and looks effortless and chic year after year. Such a good investment and it’s from Tallulah’s Threads and I highly recommend checking them out. A UK and Brighton based independent fashion brand, with plenty of fun frocks to take your fancy. I love the colours of this tartan, makes me think I should invest in more greens and navy clothing!  Keeping it casual for a day of running errands and brunching with Dave, I opted for comfort with my Vans. I’m also wearing my glasses which you don’t often see but sometimes I just need to wear them, like I said it was a day of comfort.

I’ve also got myself a fancy new watch. I was invited to the Timex event celebrating their 40th anniversary. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my stories from the event and if you don’t make sure you follow me for behind the scenes from events I go to and snippets of my daily life. If you don’t follow me on Insta, it was such a fun event that I took Dave along too. We got to pick a watch, actually Dave and I picked matching ones, then we got to customise them with our initials. The Timex people kindly bent the rules about initial stamping for me, as I’m that awkward bugger who has a double barrelled surname. They cleverly placed my initials sideways. We really love our watches and I guess it’s becoming a tradition we get matching watches?

Love a bit of Black Watch tartan – I’ve got a vintage Pringle scarf in that print and I adore it.
