Last week I had a dinner date with Lois, and Wagamama’s – we visited the Soho branch just off Carnaby Street. Within no time we were quickly shown to our booth and browsing the menu, which was great as we were starving (I think we worked up an appetite taking these outfit snaps). The great thing about Wagamama’s is there is something for everyone. It has great dishes that will suit the adventurous and more tame dishes for the less brave among us.
If your hungry and going all out, I recommend getting the chili garlic salted edamame beans or the duck qyoza dumplings, now these are my favorite side dishes! For the mains, my two favorites are either a Ramen (there is a lot of different options to pick from, I like either the chicken or duck ones) or a Chicken Katsu Curry. On this night I was in the mood for katsu curry and Lois went for the duck ramen, and neither disappointed.
We had such a fun evening chatting away, project planning for the summer – we have lots of fun joint adventures planned and if you fancy keeping up to date with them, follow us on instagram @mimi.and.lolo come say hi!
Now back to the food – if your looking for a fresh, tasty and affordable meal head to a Wagamama’s next time your out and about. If you are new to Japanese food, Wagamama’s is a great place to start. I’d even go as far to say that Japanese is my favorite of all Asian food, taking over from Chinese and Thai. For me its the freshness and lightness of Japanese food that I love and Wagamama’s fulfills all this for me.
