Laura Ashley Press Day
As I’ve been a busy bee recently and visited a few press and blog events, I thought I’d do a little round up post – starting with the Laura Ashley SS15 press day. I met up with Katrina and headed over to Laura Ashley HQ, this was my first visit to their head office but Katrina has been many a time so she lead the way. The home-wear really caught my eye – oh so many lovely things I have on my wish list now! The clothing was very cute and had some delightfully kitsch prints.
Voucher Codes Swap Shop
Ashley and myself were invited along to the Voucher Codes swap shop, we each had to take along five or more items in good condition and these would be up for swaps with other bloggers who’d done the same. A good way of updating your wardrobe and saving money at the same time. I walked away with a really cute hat and a cashmere Burberry esque scarf – I was very happy indeed! As well as shopping, there was mac-n-cheese, cocktails and balloons. I mean you can’t beat a cupcake balloon hat, can you! I was also in the video of the night, if you want to cringe and hear me speak, you can watch it here.
On Friday I popped along to the HOF press day – the home-wear was to die for, I literally squealed with delight as I saw the room! They also had some pretty lovely clothing on show, I’m lusting after that gold leather jacket from Biba. It’s out end of Jan and is limited edition, so if it takes your fancy keep an eye on the website and act fast! I must also mention how good the nibbles were (by Sugar & Spice), I hung around for a little longer than needed to taste and photograph them. I’ve also included a snap of London taken from the press room, I mean London is a pretty city and that view! It was one of my favorite press day’s I’ve ever been to, with so many thing I can’t wait to buy come SS15!
Tea, cake and a catch up with Ashley!
I feel very lucky having Ashley living not far away, means I have a blogging buddy just down the road. Which is good, as when we meet for tea and cake we both spend time photographing how pretty it looks before we take a bite. After taking Ashley to my favorite local coffee shop Lavish Habit in Balham we headed to the common, which was rather muddier than I had expected. Coco didn’t seam to mind running in the mud, Ashley and I however didn’t wander to far from the path to take our outfit snaps. We only managed a few snaps due to the fading light and crazy misty fog seeping over the common.
